Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson, whose true name is Michael Gerard Tyson is born June 30, 1966. He is a retired boxer and the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and he holds the record as the youngest boxer to win in the WBA, WBC and IBF heavyweight titles. Mike Tyson won his first WBC title in the year 1986 after he defeated Trevor Berbick by TKO. He then added the IBF and WBA titles after defeating Tony Tucker and James Smith.

When he knocked out Michael Spinks in 1988, he became the lineal champion. Moreover, he successfully defeated the word heavyweight championship nine times. He lost his titles to 42-to-1 underdog James Douglas on February 1990 in Japan. He continued his search to regain his titles and defeated Donovan Ruddock twice in the year 1991.

Tyson was convicted in 1992 for raping Desiree Washington and was sentenced six years in prison. However, he was released after he served three years. After release in 1995, he engaged in several comeback fights. He won the WBA and WBC titles after defeating Bruce Seldon and Frank Bruno by knockout. In November 1996, Tyson lost his WBA title to Evander Holyfield by a TKO on the 11th round. Their rematch in 1997 ended when Tyson bit off part of Holyfield’s ear.
